This question birthed the Council on Tech and Social Cohesion.

We envision a world where tech innovators and peacebuilders design technology that strengthens social bonds and enables collaborative problem-solving on pressing policy issues. We are catalyzing a robust, interconnected field of technology for social cohesion. Technology can help to save lives and protect human dignity, especially in high-risk communities.
Our focus isn’t just on mitigating digital harms but addressing their root cause: the way technologies are designed and deployed. Our approach is proactive, emphasizing design-centric solutions that build social cohesion.
We aim for prosocial technologies to be desirable, affordable and actionable.
